Module Three Skype Call - Notice Everything

To be included in the Module Three Skype Call was really interesting (and almost intimidating for a newbie Module 1 student). The biggest thing I took from the call was NOTICE EVERYTHING.

I mentioned at the end of the chat how I would like to discuss how wonderfully linked together the modules of BAPP are, in the sense of noticing everything. All modules are about being in a reflective space as opposed to being stuck in the flow and not engaging with your process.

Throughout this course, nothing is wasted.
Everything is layered and so relevant.

Our course is a unique and beautiful cycle. I could see essences of my Module 1 studies within our Module 3 focus chat and Adesola mentioned terminology that embodies my thought on this:

Analysis - Reflection. The process to reflect on what I have experienced/experience from reflection.
Method - Definite Action. The way you do and noticing what you're doing. How are you finding and reacting?
Methodology - How You Look At Things. Why you are doing it a certain way? Why are we doing what we're doing? Why did we choose that?

Methodology = Analysis + Method
The philosophy behind the approach we are taking.

What is amazing is that this is exactly what we are beginning to understand in Module 1 by first of all better understanding ourselves within our individual practice, by picking apart our learning and approaches towards what we do. We are starting to learn to take notice. Thereafter, we apply the very same approach towards every module...by noticing what we are doing and why?

At the end of the day, reflection is really key!

I asked Jay and Laura if they could share any words of wisdom with their experiences of Module 1.
Laura gave a really inspiring outlook on her experience on Module 1 and learning that it isn't like school where things are given to you, but "having to go and get it", "go find", "go further than you need to!". Loved that.
Jay mentioned about how the more you go into your handbook, the more you will understand the process of knowing. I loved how Jay called Module 1 an outlet of what we can do for Modules 2 and 3, as it really good to know plenty about what we do (otherwise we would still be asking those questions in Module 3...).

Thank you to Adesola for the call and for Module 3 student, Jay in the US, and Module 2 student Laura. To begin with I was a little nervous and thought I would be in the background listening in, so it was nice to converse my understanding with those who had more experience and I felt encouraged to do so in a positive way.

(Tip learnt: Adesola encouraged us to refer to the glossary in the back of our handbooks, write our understanding and continuously add more notes each time to better help our understanding.)
